Pikachu and Ori-gami Overload!

A friend and I went to a place called "Bulldog Heartfelt Gifts". It's okay, I laughed too. But then I saw inside, and knew I just had to go see all the fun/cutesy stuffs! We had a lot of fun looking around, and I will certainly go back for fun gifts for people.

The place was packed (as most Japanese stores are) with a huge variety of things. Bags of all kinds, pillows, clocks, trash cans, key-chains, cups, hair/head accessories, cheap and fun jewelery, huge stuffed animals, more pillows, rags, keepsakes, electric bug swatters, cutesy character office supplies, wind chimes, fireworks, and various other odds and ends. All of it varied to give a personal touch in a country where it sometimes feels like there's not much variety. (I.e. I had one friend state that they probably wear such extreme and colorful fashions to give a personal touch in a place where everyone has dark eyes and black hair.)

Next, I wanted to show off the Ori-gami gifts I've received. There are so many now that there's no reason not to just dump a bunch of photos of them into the blog. The first is just a bunch of loose ones floating around my folders and school bags. All the rest are pictures of each page of a book put together for me by the 4th graders at the end of this last school year.
