In Japan, people do not put lights up on their own houses.
Lights are displayed on some business buildings though, and “Christmas
Illumination” is set up in many parks. On the 8th, our boss took a
group of us to one such park nearly an hour from Oyama. The display was called “Flower
Fantasy”, set up in the Ashikaga Flower Park.

We came across a screen of lights, which continually switched between seasons, lighting up different important cultural things in each season. A few pictures follow.
fireworks - Summer
dragonflies - Summer-Autumn

kites - Spring, almost Summer

the pyramid reflections were so cool!
Up above I posted a few pictures with flower lights, but the Ashikaga Flower park is famous in this part of Japan for its Wisteria flowers, so it's not surprising that they also have lights up to look like the lovely Wisteria that show themselves in May.
