Mijken and Nicole grilling (also: David, Kurt, Paul, Sandy Karen)

We went to an awesome park nearby and had a company BBQ on Wednesday. It rained a little in the morning, but was nice and sunny with a pretty good breeze at noon. We had salad, grilled corn, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, and various other meets. Mm~mmmm!

For playing, we had squirt guns, badminton equipment, a soccer ball, and a frisbee. I played with the badminton stuff, and we had serious issues keeping the birdie off the ground. Playing in the sun was a lot of fun, and getting wet felt very good in the humid heat here. After food and some play time, we had watermelon!

A few of us paid 100-en to ride some funny bikes the rent out at this park. This naturally turned into a race, and I think we traumatized some kids with how fast we approached them. After the initial shock, I think they decided we were funny. Kurt got out and started pushing the cart instead of properly pedaling, and some of the other people in the park were staring and pointing. The poor Nihonjin…. >:)

Then, with everyone wet, hot, full, and tired, we packed up and left the park after about 3-3 ½ hours of great fun!
